Don’t want Norton to scan files or folders?

Generally, Norton software scans every file stored on your computer and takes automated actions when a file is detected to be infected. How to exclude files or folders from scan

  1. Launch Norton on the screen
  2. Go to Settings and then click Antivirus
  3. On the Scan and Risks tab given near the options to Exclude from Auto-Protect, SONAR and Download Intelligence Detection
  4. Hit the Configure button
  5. As the Real Time Exclusions window opens, click Add Files or Add Folders
  6. In the Add Item section, search for the file or folder you want to exclude, and click OK
  7. Click Apply > OK
In case you fail to perform any of the steps, visit Norton.com/setup and check if your subscription is update and the product is licensed. prior to submitting a false positive, verify that the Norton setup has the most recent definition updates.
